La campaña ha despertado el interés del periódico Ottar, perteneciente a la asociación de educación social del país nórdico, que llama a todas sus lectoras a secundarla en los clubes de natación nacionales. En el bando contrario se ha erigido como representante la Asociación de Centros de Ocio de Suecia. Sus argumentos son normativos. «El reglamento de las piscinas de este país estipula que los hombres deben llevar un 'slip' de baño y las mujeres un bikini o un bañador». «Nuestro centro tiene socios de diversa procedencia y hay que respetar las creencias de todos. Estamos dispuestos a iniciar un debate, pero no queremos herir la sensibilidad de nadie». «Además, queremos garantizar a nuestras clientes que no sean víctimas de acoso», argumenta Inger Grotteblad. «Es importante que tengamos los mismos derechos que los hombres.
